Eiffel scholarship

Warning 1: the deadline to apply for the Eiffel scholarship in order to attend the BME Paris Master’s Program is earlier than the Campus France and Université de Paris deadlines. Our deadline to send your complete application is November 24th 2021 11:59pm (for a September 2022 entry). If you are applying for the Eiffel scholarship in order to attend the BME Paris Master’s Program, you must apply between November 4th 9am and November 24th 2021 11:59pm CET for the academic year 2022-2023.


Warning 2
: you cannot apply for the Eiffel scholarship on your own by contacting Campus France or Université de Paris directly. You MUST follow OUR procedure described below between November 4th and November 24th 2021 (be careful: our procedure is different from the procedure described on Campus France and Université de Paris websites).

: we are well aware that the regular application process for the BME Paris Master’s Program opens in January. That is why we open the early application phase for scholarship applicants ONLY. If you fill out the application form for the Eiffel scholarship, you will NOT need to apply again during the regular application process on our portal.

1st step: Check if you are eligible for the Eiffel scholarship in the Eiffel program guide (https://www.campusfrance.org/en/eiffel-scholarship-program-of-excellence) AND make sure you are eligible to apply for the BME Paris Master’s Program by reading the prerequisites section on top of this page.

NB. Do not mind the dates and procedure given by Campus France. Our deadline and procedure are different, so just check your eligibility!

Warning: if you are not eligible and apply for the Eiffel scholarship anyway, your application will  be automatically rejected and will not be considered for the BME Paris Master’s Program at all.

2nd step: to be completed between November 4th 9am and November 24th 2021 11:59pm CET

  1. Check the track you wish to attend: M1, M2 BIM, M2 BIN, M2 BioMAT, M2 BioMECH or M2 MCB –> check the program of the different tracks NB. Check the prerequisites on top of this page because if you have a Bachelor’s degree, you cannot apply for a M2 track
  2. Apply on the dedicated portal by clicking on the button below
  3. Make sure your application is complete by November 24th 2021 including the reference letters by personally reminding your referees (there is an online form for referees in the application form you are about to fill out)
  4. Submit it before November 24th 2021 11:59pm CET

NB. Read the « 2 steps for a complete application » section on top of this page.

3rd step: If your application is selected by the BME Paris committee, you will be informed through email as of November 29th 2021 and you will be sent an application form which you will have to complete and email back within 48 hours.

Upon complete application, you will either:

  • Be selected to be presented for the Eiffel scholarship and have a secured position in our program whether you obtain the Eiffel scholarship or not
  • Not be selected to be presented for the Eiffel scholarship but be authorized to enroll in our program without the Eiffel scholarship
  • Not be selected to be presented for the Eiffel scholarship but be offered to have your application examined during the first batch of examination in March in order for your application to be assessed for an entry in the BME Paris Master’s Program without the Eiffel scholarship
  • Not be selected to be presented for the Eiffel scholarship nor the BME Paris Master’s Program

Warning 4: we strongly recommend that you look for other scholarships on your side (ask the French embassy in your country) because the Eiffel scholarship is extremely competitive and it gives priority to new comers, ie students who have never been to France before. If you are already living in France at the time you are applying, the program chairs will not select your application.

Warning 5: if you are a regular applicant (meaning that you are not applying for Eiffel, Smarts-UP or PSL PhD Track Grant), you must wait until January 17th 2022 to apply on our portal. If you apply before that date, your application will be automatically dismissed.

PSL PhD Track Grant (for M1 candidates only)

Warning 1:  to apply for the PSL PhD Track Grant in order to attend the BME Paris Master’s program, make sure you follow OUR procedure described below between November 15th 2021 9am and December 15th 2021 11:59pm CET.

Warning 2: we are well aware that the regular application process for the BME Paris Master’s Program opens in January. That is why we open the early application phase for scholarship applicants ONLY. If you fill out the application form for the PSL PhD Track Grant, you will NOT need to apply again during the regular application process on our portal.

Warning 3: the PSL PhD Track Grant is reserved for M1 candidates only.

1st step: Check if you are eligible for the PSL PhD Track Grant on the PSL page (https://psl.eu/en/graduate-programs/psl-phd-tracks) AND make sure you are eligible to apply for the M1 BME Paris by reading the prerequisites section on top of this page.

NB. Check the prerequisites thoroughly on top of this page because if you are eligible to apply directly for the M2, you cannot apply for the PSL PhD Track Grant.

Warning: if you are not eligible and apply for the PSL PhD Track Grant anyway, your application will  be automatically rejected and will not be considered for the BME Paris Master’s Program at all.

MIEM scholarship

Warning 1: the deadline to apply for the MIEM scholarship for the BME Paris Master’s Program is earlier than the Université de Paris deadline. You  must apply for the MIEM scholarship in order to attend the BME Paris master’s program between January 11th 2021 at 12am and January 24th 2021 at 11:59pm (for a program that starts in September the following academic year).

Warning 2: the procedure to apply for the MIEM scholarship for the BME Paris Master’s program is different from the procedure described on the Université de Paris website. Please follow our procedure described below.

Warning 3: you cannot apply for the MIEM scholarship by contacting the headquarters directly. You MUST follow OUR procedure described below between January 11th 2021 at 12am and January 24th 2021 at 11:59pm.

Warning 4: we are well aware that the regular application process for our program opens in February. However, we open an early application phase for MIEM candidates ONLY. If you apply for the MIEM scholarship and are selected, you will have a secured position in our program no matter if you obtain the scholarship or not.

Warning 5: we strongly recommend that you look for other scholarships on your side (ask the French embassy in your country) because the MIEM scholarship is extremely competitive and there are a lot of applicants.

Warning 6: the MIEM scholarship is reserved for new comers only, ie students who have never lived in France before. If you are already living in France you cannot apply for the MIEM scholarship.

1st step: Check if you are eligible for the MIEM scholarship:
– you must have a foreign citizenship (not French or binational)
– you must have graduated from high school in a foreign country and hold a non-French high school diploma
– you must not hold any French diploma even a higher education diploma

2nd step: prepare your application

  1. If you are eligible, you must pick the track of the BME Paris Master’s Program you wish to attend next year : M1, M2 BIM, M2 BIN, M2 BioMAT, M2 BioMECH or M2 MCB –> check the program of the different tracks NB. Check the prerequisites on top of this page because if you have a Bachelor’s degree, you cannot apply for a M2 track
  2. You must prepare the following documents:
  • CV in English (1 to 2 pages)
  • Personal statement/professional project in English (1 to 2 pages): the candidate writes his/her personal project and explains why he/she chooses to study in France in comparison to his/ her previous studies and his/her future professional career. The candidate must also mention why he/she applies for the MIEM scholarship.
  • Copy of your passport
  • Transcripts from all your higher education years in English or French only (certified by your institution): it must include the ranking if applicable, number of students in the school year, name of the diploma with the specialty, date of expected completion and final marks
  • Higher education diploma(s) if you have any at the time of application
  • Two letters of recommendation which you can either attach to your application if you have them OR your refrees will be contacted directly through the application form
  • Certificate of English language (IELTS, TOEFL, TOEIC, Cambridge, etc.) in a PDF document or through ETS or the proof that your study program was entirely taught in English
  • Certificate of school attendance for the current year (if applicable) and to be downloaded in the extra document section

NB. You can also attach any document that will make your application outstanding.

3rd step: apply online by clicking on the « APPLY NOW » button between January 11th 2021 at 12am and January 24th 2021 at 11:59pm

4th step: If your application is selected by the BME Paris committee, you will be informed through email at the end of January at the latest and you will be sent an application form which you will have to complete and email back within 24 hours.

MIRES scholarship

If you are a registered student in the BME Paris Master’s Program at Université de Paris and wish to do an internship abroad, you may apply for a MIRES scholarship.

Contact your track Chairs to find out about your eligibility and the procedure.

NB. Only students registered at Université de Paris can apply.
