BME Seminars: Frédéric REVAH

At first, we would like to remember you that even during your research internship, the BME seminars are still mandatory. For students in research internship beyond Paris and its close suburb, it is strongly recommanded to assist to the internal seminars of your institution.

Then, we are please to inform you that this Friday 15th February, the BME seminars will host a lecture of Frédéric Revah entitled "Genethon: from patients' organisation to innovative biomedical R&D and world leader in gene therapy". Frédéric Revah is the general director of Généthon. (See attached flyer)

"Genethon, born from the strong motivation of a patients' organization, AFM-Telethon, has become a world leader in gene therapy and innovative biotherapies. With the objective of bringing gene therapy treatments from an experimental stage to fully validated drugs, it has built a unique platform of competencies, ranging from upstream physiopathological research to clinical development and encompassing strong expertise in bioprocess engineering, biomanufacturing according to pharmaceutical constraints, and pharmaceutical regulation. The economic model of Genethon, mostly funded by public generosity, also sets it apart. Engineers have played and will continue to play an important role in the development of innovative biotherapies such as gene or cell therapy treatments."

The conference will take place at ESPCI ParisTech, 10 rue Vauquelin, , Amphi Langevin (escalier M , on the left in the yard ), from 13h30 to 15h00.
