In two weeks we will have the great pleasure of hosting a talk given by Jean-Yves Le Coz, Expert Leader “Sécurité Routière” at Renault and professor at Arts et Métiers ParisTech. The conference will be held on Friday, May 27 2016 between 1:30 pm and 3 pm in lecture theatre Fournel at ENSAM ParisTech. The seminar will focus on “Road safety: a public health issue! What is the impact of research in biomechanics ?”.

Short  biography

Jean-Yves Le Coz is Associated Professor in biomechanical engineering in Paris. He is a medical doctor specialized in rehabilitation. He graduated from Ecole Nationale Supérieure d’Arts et Métiers ParisTech and Technological University of Compiegne in France. He worked for 10 years in rehabilitation departments of several hospitals for adults and children, before joining the French car manufacturers’ research activities in 1991. He has been Director of the LAB, Laboratory of Accidentology and Biomechanics, during 15 years. He is the Expert Leader in the strategic domain of Road safety for the Renault Group in the Corporate Social Responsibility Department and the Chaiman of GRSP (Global Road safety partnership). He is recognized legal expert at the “Cour d’Appel de Versailles” in France, and was awarded “Highway Traffic Safety Administration Award for Safety Engineering Excellence” from the United States.
